rhubarbs custard

Ingredients:
rhubarb
sugar

(custard)
(cookies)
Inspiration / Recipe / Directions:
1. Peel and cut the rhubarbs into the size you want.
2. Place the rhubarbs in a saucepan and sprinkle some sugar over them.
3. Let the rhubarbs simmer at low heat (stirr occasionall) until they are as tender as you like them.
4. Serve with custard and (if you want something a little crispy) a cookie.
5. Enjoy.

Anette: How much sugar you need depends on what you like. If you like the taste of sour rhubarbs – use less, if you have a sweet tooth – use more. The most important thing is not to burn the sugar and not to overcook the rhubarbs. You can add some water if you like, but personally, I think it gets too gooey. These rhubarbs can be eaten as they are but I prefer to dip them in a custard while crunching on a cookie. 😀
